Ned’s 17th Frozen Dead Guy Days

Where: Nederland, CO

When: March 9-March 11

What to Expect: A festive weekend in the Rocky Mountains full of food, music, and ac-tivities.

Frozen Dead Guy Days started in 2002 to honor Grandpa Bredo Morstol, who is cryo-genically frozen and stored in a Tuff Shed in the small mountain town of Nederland, CO (you read that right!)

Morstol passed away on a cross-country skiing trip in Norway, but his grandson, who was living in CO at the time, froze his grandfather’s body in dry ice and transported it to the US. From there, the body of Grandpa Bredo Morstol made its way to Nederland, Colorado where he has remained and been celebrated ever since.

The real draw to this festival is the “Ice Man” themed activities like the frozen salmon toss, ice break dancing, and a polar plunge. The quirky activities at Frozen Dead Guy Days make for great memories for the whole family.

If you’re seeking more of a concert scene, check out all 3 of the music tents. Get to-gether a classy costume and pop into the ReAnimate tent on Friday for the Royal Blue Ball, where you’ll have the chance to be nominated as ball royalty at the costume con-test.
