New Orleans, Louisiana
Make any excuse to do business in New Orleans this Halloween. The famous city is full of ghosts and hauntings, and the locals certainly make the most of the creepy atmosphere during October. Halloween activities run all through the 10th month of the year. You’ll find festivals, parades, and the ever-popular ghost tours that take you on walks through the scariest parts of the city. New Orleans Lakefront Airport is a great spot to land your chartered jet.
The site of the famous witch hunts of 1692 is now one of the top Halloween travel destinations. Salem is a beautiful town year-round, and when you know its history, it also has an air of creepiness that hangs in the shadows. Lots of Halloween festivities happen in Salem, from the kitschy to the costumed to the creepy. Enjoy popular restaurants and bars that play up the Halloween theme, or take a few historical tours around town to learn more about its beginnings. Land at the Beverly Municipal Airport, which is about 15 minutes from Salem.
You may not think of a small college town in Ohio as a spooky destination, but think again. The town has a rich history of hauntings, so much so that it was featured on the TV show “Scariest Places on Earth.” Athens has an old insane asylum, a cemetery with a hanging tree, and a haunted dormitory, among other creepy things. On the Saturday closest to Halloween, the city closes off three blocks of the town’s main street for a gigantic Halloween bash that lasts all night. Dress up and mingle with locals and students in amazing costumes. Ohio University, located in Athens, runs Snyder Field, a small airport perfect for landing chartered flights.
Visit the beautiful Vermont landscape and stay in a haunted B&B while you’re conducting New England business this October. The Golden Stage Inn began its life in 1788 when it was a stagecoach stop. After it had become an inn, the proprietors and guests discovered a ghostly presence in the attic. Today, people have noticed appliances switching on and off, and some have even heard mysterious footsteps. During Halloween, the owners decorate the inn as a haunted house. Fly into Smith Airport when you visit.
Plan to mix business with pleasure this Halloween, or surprise your boss or your team with fun Halloween plans during a business trip happening in October. A chartered jet will get you to and from these spooky locations with ease, so all you have to worry about is being properly frightened!
