Meet the Fleet: Gulfstream G150

0

The Gulfstream G150 is a highly rated mid-size jet perfect for business travel in the continental U.S. With long distances at high mach speeds, this plane comfortably carries executives across the country without the need for a re-fuel. A beautifully designed cabin interior with sleeping options means that you can travel at any time of the day and still be comfortable.

Technical Specs

Fly on the Gulfstream G150 because of its low operating cost and long range at higher machs than most other jets in its class. The Gulfstream G150 has two Honeywell TFE731-40AR engines, a wingspan of 55 feet 7 inches, and a length of 56 feet 9 inches. Its maximum mach is 0.85, its long-range mach is 0.75, and it flies at a maximum altitude of 45,000 feet, which is slightly higher than similar jets. With cruise speeds between 490 and 525 mph, you can make it from NYC to LA in a comfortable six hours.

Flight Range

The flight range of the Gulfstream G150 is 3,000 nautical miles. This jet is perfect for cross-country flights, spanning the 2,148 nautical miles between JFK and LAX with ease. Anywhere in the continental U.S. is fair game for the Gulfstream G150. If you leave from JFK in New York, you can make it the 2,995 nautical miles to Heathrow in London in a Gulfstream G150. You can also make it from California to Hawaii without a problem, something other jets in this class can’t always do without a stop.

Cabin Comfort

The cabin has an oval design, with taller sides and a higher ceiling to provide as much space as possible for passengers. Configurations exist for six, seven, or eight passengers to ride comfortably, with room for either two or three sleeping passengers. A Stage 4 noise standard (the Federal Aviation Administration’s best) means a quiet ride for those red-eye flights. Eleven windows decorate the cabin, providing ample natural light for a bright, airy ambience within the cabin. Front- and rear-facing seats offer options for conversation, meetings, and privacy.

Great Technology

Business doesn’t need to stop while in the air. The G150 offers a satellite phone and a ledge-mounted high-definition entertainment center. This includes a high-definition TV monitor, which you can use for entertainment or office work. The plane comes with a CD player and a DVD player for the best in-flight entertainment options.

Baggage Storage

The total baggage storage room is 80 cubic feet. Split between interior and exterior storage, the G150 offers storage spaces which will fit everything from oversized suitcases to golf bags. The external baggage storage is 55 cubic feet and heated with an oversized door (24 by 26 inches) to accommodate all kinds of luggage. Closets at the front and the rear of the plane offer enough storage for anything one might need to access in-flight.

The Gulfstream G150 is perfect for frequent business trips that happen all over the U.S. With an upscale cabin and great baggage storage, all business travel should be this comfortable.
